A third-generation Oklahoman currently serving as a State Representative, Eric Roberts is deeply invested in our beloved state. A lifelong resident of northwest Oklahoma City, Eric values a strong work ethic, an attribute for which he credits his parents.

While in high school, instead of hanging out with friends during the summer, Eric worked in an industrial warehouse. After graduating from college, Eric became an owner and operator of Colonial Center LP, which he has built to success while employing locally for almost 30 years. Eric is also a successful commercial real estate developer - helping to create commerce, keeping our supply chain moving, supporting our local community, and working hard every day to keep businesses thriving.

Eric has been married for 30 years to the love of his life, Leigh, and they are devoted to their two college-age children, a son and a daughter.

Early in Eric and Leigh’s marriage, they experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage and infertility followed by the joy of adopting. Three years into their marriage, they were truly blessed to receive the news they had been chosen by a birthmother, and 2 1⁄2 years after their son’s adoption, they were blessed again with the birth of their daughter. It was more than the story of God building their family. It has given them the opportunity for ministry and service to mothers and adopted children alike.

Serving others has always been and continues to be a core element of the Roberts family. Eric and Leigh are both actively involved in their church and Teen Challenge. Leigh is a parent mentor with two national organizations that help parents navigate the tough waters of adolescent drug and alcohol addiction.

A believer in investing and mentoring the next generation, Eric was commonly called “Coach” throughout the community for his many years of involvement in coaching kids softball and baseball. He serves as a board member for Ozarks Teen Challenge, Maps 3 citizens oversight committee for the fairgrounds. Eric, Leigh and their children are active members of a community church, and Leigh is a leader in a women’s prison ministry.

Eric has been a member of Rotary Club International since 1992, serves on the MAPS 3 Citizen Advisory Oversight Committee - a position he was first appointed to by former OKC Mayor Cornett, Habitat for Humanity, Christmas in April, and on the board of Ozark Teen Challenge. Eric is a 2020 graduate of Oklahoma’s Leadership Exchange Academy. The Roberts family show that no matter the challenges faced or decisions made in the past, positive change comes by sharing and working together.
